2019 Stalls & Market Info
Welcoming stallholders to a new Winter Magic
On 22 June 2019, Winter Magic returns!
We know you missed us in 2018, so it's nice to be able to say we are back, but you need to know about some important changes. We are NOT running the parade and we are limiting the footprint of the festival – stalls will only be placed on Katoomba Street, Pryor Place, and Studleigh Place. There will be NO stalls on Bathurst Road.
We are reducing the number of stalls to approximately 110, and while we want a good mix of stalls, our priority will be local stallholders, locally-made wares/food and Australian products.
We can’t yet predict how many people will come to celebrate the return of Winter Magic but are planning for at least 20,000 visitors and expect more. We are confident our stallholders will benefit from being able to trade in the middle of the day (instead of being interrupted by the parade) and from lessened competition with other stallholders. Our visitors will have more time to shop and will feel less crowded, so will be in a better position to savour your magical wares.
Stallholder applications will be open from 17 December until 22 March 2019. We will notify successful stallholders (and invoice them) by the end of March, 2019.
Stall sizes are 3×3 marquee spaces and each stallholder will need to provide their own setup.
Final locations won't be determined until March so we ask that, at this stage, you indicate your preferences – Green Zone stalls will be able to trade from 6.30–8am until 3pm, and Red Zone stalls (above Pryor Place) will be able to stay open until 8pm. We are able to accommodate stallholders who wish to share – each party should apply separately but indicate in the "setup description" box who they would like to share with.
