Jane Saunders’ voice is an instrument of true sonic beauty. Her critically acclaimed pure clear folk country tones have readily endeared her to a devoted band of country music fans across the world since her release of her 1994 critically acclaimed debut album ‘Stranger To Your Heart’. The acoustic folk leanings of her music have always found a ready home at major Australian Folk Festivals and bought her to the attention of a new coterie of music lovers who appreciate a great song interpreter as much as a great voice.
In 1996 Jane teamed up with Genni Kane and Shanley Del for the all acoustic ‘Tea For Three’. This vocal collaboration developed as a natural extension of a musical camaraderie that has its genesis on ‘Lonely Blue Heart’, a song they recorded together on Jane’s debut album.
With the critical acclaim and experiences gained performing with a diverse range of artists including Weddings, Parties Anything, Eric Bogle and Garth Brooks and touring the UK came the challenge to release an album that would reflect Jane’s development as an artist. Her landmark 1999 release ‘Poetic Justice’ produced by Australian music icons Joe Camilleri and Sam See redefined her as an artist. Already a feature of country music radio play lists, ‘Poetic Justice’s’ musical diversity established Jane as a song interpreter par excellence, opening up new doors and a new enthusiastic following.
