The Ruby Bloomers Women’s Circus Inc. formed from a ten week circus arts course funded via a Cultural Partnerships Grant from Blue Mountains City Council in 2005. The Bloomers encourage participation and membership from women of all abilities and backgrounds from 16-70years!

The core ensemble has gone from strength to strength, increasing its skill base and performing range. They meet and train twice weekly during school terms and offer the chance for local women to learn circus and theatre skills and to join in the fun. Children are encouraged and provided for during training sessions.

The Bloomers engage with, and utilise a unique range of professional talent, both local, interstate and international. Original work is constantly in production.

Ruby Bloomers Women’s Circus is a non-profit organisation, existing solely on membership contributions and income sourced from performances.

The Bloomers have performed and conducted playspaces at festivals, health promotion days, corporate functions eco festivals, schools and community events.

Recently, they have been successful in obtaining a Cultural Partnership Grant from Blue Mountains City Council to begin creative development of a brand new "ECO SHOW"!
