The Katoomba Juggling Institute was formed in 2005 as part of Katoomba’s World Juggling Day celebrations. The Institute was formed with its twin aims "placing a juggler in every home" and of making Katoomba the Juggling Capital of the southern hemisphere.
 

Social studies show that communities where less than 1 in 30 people juggle are communities with social problems caused by an inability to juggle competing interests.

Medical studies also point to the fact that juggling is good for the brain. So by attending Winter Magic 2009 you will not only have a good time but you will also walk away a smarter person.
