While there are a number of ways of getting to the Festival from Sydney, let us put in a special word for the train. Travelling high on the ridge, the train gives you the best view of the mountains. |
The train from the city to Katoomba Railway station drops you right at the centre of the Festival. Why not make a weekend of it and enjoy the Sunday programme at Everglades too. Click here for the rail timetable.
When you arrive by train it is the MountainLink Trolley service provides an easy way to get around the mountain scenic spots. You can hop on and off the service all day for $15. The local taxi service is always very reliable and is the perfect option for short trips. Who needs the car. Take the stress out of travelling and come and spend a weekend of magic.
