Body Mind and Slowly Soulful Cafe
This year an expanded Body Mind Soul Food will be held located in the heart of the festival, with a varied program of talks, demonstrations, music, healings and scrumptious food. With two major locations in the senior citizens area of the Civic Centre, and the Katoomba Day & Evening college, Body Mind and Soul Food will be a nurturing solstice experience.

The Senior Citizens Lounge area will be the location of a range of healing practices. A calm space amid the exuberance of the festival will be provided for all to participate in Tarot readings, Flower essences and other modalities. Demonstrations of more “active” healing practices and martial arts will be held in the forecourt. As the program is in development, local practitioners are invited to contact Kate (4782 2060, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) to discuss their participation on the day.

The "Slowly Soulful” Café will be in operation in the Senior Citizens Kitchen, adjacent to the Civic Centre. Following the principles of Cittaslow and sourcing local organic veggies, it will be offering a nourishing menu at reasonable cost. The Slowly Soulful Cafe will also be host to the singers and musicians of the Joy of Music throughout the day. To offer assistance and/or veggies please contact Anne (47827376, or via www.wintermagic.com.au)

Over at the Katoomba Day & Evening College , in Gang Gang Street opposite the train station, the main hall will host a program of talks, demonstrations, information and product displays. Upstairs there will be a cosy chill-out space, with chai, coffee & cakes, cushions and a great opportunity to socialise in a laid-back setting. Natural health practitioners and healers will be offering therapies such as Massage, Reiki, energy balancing and other modalities yet to be confirmed. Volunteers can contact Tyswan from Health & Harmony (4787-1009, This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ).
