When and where is the Festival? |
Saturday 23rd June 2007 and Sunday 24th June in Katoomba. Saturday is the big day 70 performances across 12 stages. The Sunday is more of a relaxed to with performance moving in to cafes, restaurants and hotels. The stalls and street closure occur only on the Saturday.

How much does it cost to attend the festival? |
Katoomba Saturday and access to all Festival venues are FREE.

What time does the parade start? |
It starts at 11:30am on the Saturday and will depart from Katoomba Public School on the Waratah St side and proceed north up Katoomba St

Turn up on the day. Over 40,000 people will be waiting for you. Katoomba Street is closed and there are plenty of places to set up. There are special prizes for the best buskers.

How do I get to Katoomba? |
The best way of getting to Katoomba from Sydney or the west is by train or car. See train timetables below and details of how to get around once you arrive.

What time do trains to Katoomba leave Sydney Central station on Saturday? |

If I come by train how can I travel around the area? |
There are a number of local bus services in the Blue Mountains Bus Company ( see timetable). This company also runs the MountainLink Trolley Tours service for $15 service which allows you to travel to all the Upper Mountains scenic spots. There is also a very reliable Taxi service. The taxi phone number is 02 4782 1311. |
What time do the Fireworks start? |

Are food and beverages available and what kinds? |
Katoomba is famous for the quality of its cafes and restaurants. There will also be a food court in the main street.

What if it rains on the day and will it be cold? What should I wear? |
The fact is it generally doesn't. June is Katoomba's driest month of the year. If it does you'll still have a great time with six venues of performance off the main street under cover. There will also be a range of services and activities in local cafes and hotels.
Unlike much of Sydney, the Blue Mountains and Katoomba has four distinct seasons. Chances are it will be cool but pleasantly so. Bring your overcoats and your winter woollies. Conversely, the reception you'll receive will be very warm and welcoming.
Katoomba and surrounding towns dress up for the day in their favourite alter-egos. Whether you are driving up or coming by train please be adventurous. We want to see you at your best.

There will be more than enough to entertain you festival day but if you want to explore the area it is easy. Katoomba is one of Australia's major tourist destinations and is well prepared to cater for the needs of visitors.
