Committee progress report and call for Association members, 16 July 2018
Association members are invited to attend the next committee meeting, where we will be making important decisions about the artistic vision of the 2019 Winter Magic Festival.
The Winter Magic Festival Committee has been busy, and we are getting stuck into serious planning for the festival. Blue Mountains Economic Enterprise is commencing its review of the Festival, and we've been having discussions with key stakeholders. We have also clarified our vision and mission statements – while it's easy to dismiss the importance of such things, they are fundamental to establishing our business case
Our vision is Making winter magic in Katoomba.
Our mission is To engage the people of Katoomba and the Blue Mountains in a sustainable, vibrant, annual community winter solstice celebration of the arts and creativity
centred on Katoomba Street.
We are now turning our attention to getting the Festival up and running. Accordingly, all members of the Winter Magic Festival Association are invited to attend the Winter Magic Festival Committee meeting on Monday 23 July 2018 at 7pm at Hotel Blue, 88 Lurline Street Katoomba, to vote on the artistic vision of the 2019 Festival, including the future of the parade.
